Working along side the Schools Architects, Designers, Structural engineers, M&E consultants, and Ceba Solutions Commercial Kitchens’, Clements Construction Ltd had the pleasure of being main contractor to this extensive high end re-furb and fit out to the School’s Commons room, dining area, and cafeterias. Works included an external extension comprising of new fire rated walls and glazed screens, new flat roof details, entirely new flooring, ceiling, and general CAT A and B fit out to the full cafeteria area. New bespoke oak glazed screening to form partitions between the commons area and corridor. New Servery, Booster club room, and entirely newly upgraded mechanical HVAC. Alterations to existing walls and localised WC’s, alterations to the external areas to ensure safe exit routes. Works were programmed with precision to account for the school holidays and the commons’ room usability throughout. Together with the school, Clements accounted for a two-phase project where any phase 1 external builders works were carried out during term time within confines of their own Site. Phase 2 was carried out during the 9 week summer break, where the ‘knock-through’ and bulk of works took place. All works were carried out within budget and on-time. A good working relationship ensured flexibility and smooth transitions for any on-site design changes.
