Clements recently completed an extensive external major works project at Drayton Gardens for MFG Surveyors, working in close collaboration with TLC Property Management. This prominent Victorian and Edwardian building, originally constructed between 1850 and 1911, required a comprehensive programme of restoration to preserve and enhance its historic character.

Our scope of works included significant brick repairs, asbestos removal, roofing works, full external redecoration, timber repairs to both French and sash windows, specialist metal welding repairs, DOFF cleaning, and traditional French polishing. Each element was carried out with careful attention to detail to ensure the building’s original architectural charm was retained and sensitively restored.

The project was delivered over a 14 week programme, with scaffolding erected across all external elevations for safe access. The scaffolding remained in place for 10 weeks, with erection and dismantling completed within a total of 4 weeks. Throughout the works, our team prioritised minimising disruption to the building’s high-end residents, always maintaining clear communication and considerate working practices. The project was successfully delivered on schedule, meeting both programme and quality expectations, and ensuring complete client satisfaction while restoring the building to its former elegance.
